Adele is a hiker. The 34-year-old ‘Easy on Me’ singer revealed she was hiking in the middle of her Las Vegas residency, Weekend with Adele, during a performance this weekend. “Guess what I started doing,” she asked her audience at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace, according to the Daily mail. “I started hiking. I really like it,” she exclaimed. “I put on my headphones and I continue. I’m out of breath. It’s a stadium sized theatre, it’s quite a walk.

The global superstar’s fun fact comes as she maintains her 100lb weight loss, which she quietly debuted in October 2019 with the rapper Duckthe birthday of. “Adele has never felt so good in her life. She shines on the outside and it directly reflects how good she feels on the inside,” a person close to the British star revealed to HollywoodLife EXCLUSIVELY in February 2020. “It took so much hard work and determination, it totally transformed her lifestyle. She does all the LA stuff she used to make fun of now, and she loves it. She drinks green juice, she hikes, she does Pilates. She has personal trainers. She won’t admit that she enjoys working out, but she somehow makes time for it pretty much every day.

Adele opened up about her weight loss journey in a 2021 interview with US Vogue and revealed that she never expected to lose so much weight. “I realized that when I was training, I had no anxiety. It was never about losing weight. I thought, if I can make my body physically strong, and I can feel it and see it, then maybe one day I can make my emotions and my mind physically strong,” she recalled.

“By working out, I would feel better,” she explained to British vogue. “I got pretty addicted to it. I train two or three times a day. She then revealed her workout routine at the time: weights in the morning followed by a hike or a boxing session. At night, she did cardio.

Despite feeling better than ever, Adele has faced harsh criticism over her physical transformation, which she opened up about during her interview with British vogue. “People are shocked because I haven’t shared my ‘journey’. They’re used to people documenting everything on Instagram, and most people in my position would have a lot to do with a diet brand. I don’t give a fuck about stealing,” she said candidly. “I did it for myself and no one else. So why would I share it? I don’t find it fascinating. It’s my body.

She also broached the subject during her opening monology on Saturday Night Live in October 2020. “I know I look really, really different since the last time you saw me,” smiled Adele. “But actually, because of all the Covid restrictions…I had to travel light and I could only take half of me, and that’s the half I chose.”

Adele’s hobby of hiking coincides with another she talked about last week during her residency: therapy. The Grammy-winning singer told her fans on her Saturday, Dec. 10, show that she started seeing a therapist again after initially opting out of her 2019 split and following her divorce from Simon Konecki. “I started going to therapy again because I went a few years without it. I needed to start,” she admitted. “Before, obviously, when I was going through my divorce, I was basically having five therapy sessions a day.”

“But I stopped holding myself accountable for my own behavior and the things I would say,” she continued. “But now I do it because I just want to make sure I recharge every week to make sure I can give it all to you.”
