Think Pink: Companies donate to Camden Clark Foundation’s Pink Mammogram Fund

PARKERSBURG – The WVU Medicine Camden Clark Foundation has received several financial donations from area businesses, totaling $37,175 to be used to provide important mammograms to many members of the community who otherwise could not afford them.

Donations received from Astorg Auto and iPacket as well as Wincore Windows will directly benefit the Camden Clark Foundation’s Pink Mammogram Fund, which provides free screening mammograms, diagnostics and biopsies to local uninsured or underinsured patients. .

Astorg Auto and iPacket contributed $8,475 and $12,700, respectively, from iPacket vehicle and package sales throughout October, explained Seve Astorg, CEO and co-founder of iPacket.

“We’ve been part of this initiative for over eight years now, and we were thrilled to be part of it this year,” said Astorg. “A big thank you to our customers and the people who helped us support this fund and donate the money.

“It’s definitely going to the right place, and I encourage everyone to get involved.”

Brian Standley, vice president of finance at Wincore Windows, noted that Wincore supports Camden Clark’s Pink Mammogram Fund each year at its annual golf tournament, with contributions totaling $16,000 in 2022.

“Wincore has always been very supportive of breast cancer awareness charities,” Standley said. “It’s part of who we are. Our founders felt this was something important to support and we have been doing so since day one. »

The Pink Mammogram Fund has provided more than 3,000 free procedures to Mid-Ohio Valley patients since its inception.

“The Foundation has been greatly blessed by a few local businesses,” said Jon Leavitt, Chairman of the Camden Clark Foundation Board. “Today we received $37,000 for the Pink Fund, allowing us to help over 3,000 women in this community get mammograms, which is amazing and just outstanding. »

Camden Clark Foundation executive director Kim Couch echoed Leavitt’s sentiments.
